What do I need to know in booking a vacation rental home?
In addition to inquiring about the amenities of a vacation rental, a clear understanding between you and the vacation homeowner on the following questions will help insure a trouble free and rewarding experience for all parties involved.
How will payments be made?
What is the homeowners policy concerning cancellations?
Where do I pick up keys?
Will water and heat be turned on when I arrive?
Do I need to bring my own linens?
Are pets allowed?
Who is responsible for cleaning, trash removal, etc.?
Who do I contact if there is a problem with my rental?

How do I book a home?
Contact the vacation rental homeowner directly. Contact information is provided on each property listing. Be advised that the amenities offered and services provided by a homeowner vary greatly between vacation rentals. Ask specific questions to get exactly what you want.

What does it cost to list my Big Bear Vacation Rental?
We offer different listing services starting at $15 per month for a one year agreement. Our listing services can be modified at any time with enhancements to suit your marketing needs. Click on “list your home” under “homeowners” in the bar menu above for details.

Can I post my own photos and information on my rental listing?
Yes. Once you list your vacation rental with us, you will be provided with a secure login to your members input page with detailed instructions for posting your own photos and information. Tech support is available by email or calling us at 909-999-7015.

Can I change photos & information on my rental listing?
Yes. You may login to your secure members area at any time to add or delete information and photos.

Will you post my photos and information for me?
Yes. For $15 Big Bear Cabins & Coupons will post the photos and information that you send to us for your rental listing. If necessary, our staff can also photograph your Big Bear vacation rental for you. Call or email us for details

How are vacation rental listing results sorted in a cabin search?
Results are sorted by the criteria that the visitor selects (area, bedrooms etc.). Within that criteria, Power Listings are listed above Basic Listings.

Can I offer a Special Promotion, or attract additional attention to my listing?
Yes. Enhancements are available for your listing that will help draw additional attention to your vacation rental. These enhancements will also provide better positioning in the cabin “search results”. Our “hotbox” enhancement will showcase in the search results any special promotions or pricing that you may wish to offer. Click on “list your home” under “homeowners” in the drop down bar menu for details.

My listing gets lots of visits, but very few bookings. Why?
Price is usually the determining factor when it comes to getting bookings. How does the price of your vacation rental home compare with other vacation rentals in your area and category? Convenience is also a major factor. Check our “homeowner services” area for services such as linens, firewood delivery, trash pickup etc.

I’m a vacation homeowner, but I do not live in Big Bear. Is help available in servicing and managing my vacation rental home?
Yes, on our homeowner support page has a complete list of local service providers. If you are new to the vacation rental business, the best place to begin is at BEAR LABOR. Here you will find valuable free information, links, and a vacation homeowner checklists that will help you properly set up your vacation rental before you make it available to renters. Once you begin taking booking, BEAR LABOR also has a complete menu of support services that include the following:

Are there rules and ordinances for Vacation Rentals in Big Bear?

What does it cost to list my business?
If you are a qualified local Big Bear businesses, and would like to offer to our visitors accessing this site a promotional coupon or special discount coupon on your products or services in the form of an online downloadable coupon, this service to you is available for $5.00 per month ($60 for a 12 month minimum).

For $10 a month (12 month minimum) a direct link to your existing website, or your own webpage on Cabins & Coupons is available.

Can I manage my own Coupon or Display Listing?
Yes. You will have secure access to your own members area for making changes and downloading information.
